Madagascar's tropical treasures are a haven for beautiful trees, plants and flowers, many that are unique to our island. Baobab Powder
Baobab powder is a naturally dried fruit powder made from the pulp of the baobab fruit. It's a superfood that has traditionally been used in Africa, Australia and Madagascar where it originates. At least, "300 life-sustaining uses" of baobab have been documented!
Baobab fruit powder has a tart, citrusy taste, but pairs beautifully with vanilla, apples, pears, peaches for a subtle yet powerful taste profile. The oldest baobab forests are in Madagascar and southern Africa and estimates are that the oldest known baobab forests had trees that were 6000 years old! Madagascar's oldest baobab tree is estimated to be about 2100 years old - hence it's nickname the "Tree of Life."
